The year 2012 and the playing cards

There is a great amount of reference material available about the coming event on December 21, 2012 so I will not go into great detail about this historic moment in time.  However, I will give a brief overview of this event in order to provide the baseline information necessary to use as a platform for this discussion.  Essentially, the Mayan calendar provides the insights into how the 2012 date was chosen.  Each cycle of the Mayan calendar is called a 'long count' and lasts approximately 26,000 years.  The end date for this long count is set at December 21, 2012, after which a new cycle starts.  Since the early 1900's scholars have attempted to explain the reason that this date was chosen and many theories have been postulated, but we will not dive into that discussion.  Instead, we'll consider the date important for the mere fact that it was calculated using the number system and mathematics of the Mayans.  An interesting note about this approximate 26,00 year cycle is that it coincides with the cycle of the precession of the equinoxes.  Given that, the 2012 date would also signal the turning point from the age of Pisces to the age of Aquarius.  We are truly at that dawning.

In terms of the playing cards, the 2012 date would provide an anchor point about which the karmic wheel can be aligned.  Since the 2012 date marks both the end of a cycle and the beginning of the next, the date of 12/21/2012 would then be the date of the new birth.  Using the theories associated with the playing cards, this date of birth would coincide with the year '0' quadration for the new cycle (lasting another 26,000 years approximately).  Therefore, the entire year up to the 12/21/2012 date would be associated with the year '89' quadration, also termed 'the Womb'.  During the year of 2012, each card would be in a primordial womb of sorts, awaiting the cosmic birth that happens at the turning of the cycle.  Whatever house position that a card is in during that year will be the imprint with which to stamp as the background for the entire next cycle.  The implications of this are enormous.  What this means is that not only do we have a 90 year cycle that marks the movement of our life through all of the quadrations, we also have a 26,000 year cycle that marks another great movement, possibly for that of the Soul.

Using what we know about the quadrations, on our birthday in 2012 we will enter into the oracle 'the womb' in relation to this greater cycle (which from now on I will term the Soul cycle).  On 12/21/2012 the cosmic birth happens, but we will not wake into it that consciousness until our next birthday, when our personal cycle renews.  Given that, on our birthday in 2013 our Soul cycle will be in the oracle 'the Fool'.  After that the quadrations will unfold in the normal linear way on a yearly basis.  This describes the 'rising' movement of the Soul.  We can do the same calculations to determine the 'moon' movement of the Soul.  Going in reverse from the 12/21/2012 date we would enter the oracle 'the Fool' on our birthday in 2011.  Counting back from this, the oracle for the year 2010 on our birthday would be that of 'the High Priestess', and so on and so on.  What this means is that while our personal movement is going forward in the rising direction, our Soul movwement is moving in the moon (reverse) direction from the 2012 date, and on that date of birth will our Soul and body be united.
